The day we went to Krumau!

So, two weeks ago I spent the weekend in Linz and the week before Markus had told me he was gonna take me somewhere on a “field trip”, since I’ve been complaining to anyone who wants (or doesn’t) to hear that I miss being in a car and just driving somewhere. I thought we were gonna go somewhere like 10 or 15min away from his place, but the sneaky one decided to go all out and drove us to Krumau an der Moldau, in the Czech Republic and about 1h away. And guys…it was just breath-taking!

It is surrounded by the river, which works as a kind of barrier into the actual town!

We walked the whole way up there!

Even though it was a foggy day, the whole scenery was just gorgeous! Imagine living in that little town!

We just had to take a picture of the phone booth!

All of those “tiles” are actually painted on. I literally touched the wall, because I couldn’t believe it! Can you imagine the amount of work that went into building it and painting all of that by hand?? It truly is art…

Me and my love for postcards…I must say that the relation with Euro is really good, since I paid only 1.20CHF for three postcards, one of them panoramic. It’s the cheapest I’ve ever got some postcards!!!

I don’t think you can see it, but Harry Potter is on the right window of the wax museum, which was super cool and made me jump up and down like a 5 year old, while Markus probably tried to pretend he didn’t know me.

On our way out we stopped by this street bakery where they make these “logs” dipped into sugar and cinnamon, which crystallize due to the heat of the dough, and we shared one on our way to the car. It was really yummy, the dough wasn’t too sweet, which compensated the sweetness of the sugar and cinnamon. We also stopped by a local pub and had cabbage soup and beer and then also a coffee in another place, both of them yummy!

It was such an amazing day, even though we got lost on the way back (he blamed me, since I was the co-pilot) and then once we found the way back home we got stuck with an old lady in front of us who drove like someone who had just gotten her licence. But we actually had fun seeing how she always turned her max on when there were other cars coming her way.
