I really like pasta, but it’s one of those things I didn’t use to eat much while living at home, because my parents just aren’t that big fans of it. But I love making it, because it’s easy, you can make it with a ton of different ingredients and it’s just a fast thing to cook!
Having that said, it’s no surprise that this is one of my favorite dishes to cook and that’s exactly what I did a couple of weeks ago.
I took some spiral pasta and cooked it in some water with a bit of salt. Then I also boiled some veggies, in this case I used a mix of broccoli and carrots that I got frozen (it’s cheaper). In a pan I put some olive oil, garlic and a bit of salt and cooked some chicken breast pieces that I’d cut and seasoned with garlic and salt. I don’t use pepper..I just don’t really like it that much.
After the pasta and the veggies were cooked, in the same pan with the chicken I put some “sauer rahm”, which is like…sour cream I think (don’t really know how to translate it) and some cream. I did not realize that the sour cream would bring out the salt in the food, so I seasoned it like I always would and it ended up being a tad bit salty, but it was ok.
I put everything on my pasta/cereal/soup bowl and sprinkled it with some parmesan. I love parmesan on pasta…even though I usually hate cheese, especially strong smelling kinds.
It was a really easy and yummy dish to cook and it’s definitely one of my go-to kind of dishes! It was really tasty and full of vitamin due to the veggies.
