{Review} Sesderma C-Vit moisturizer and serum

A while ago I received a set of skin care from the C-Vit line from Sesderma to try out and today I am sharing with you my opinion on it!

Sesderma is a company based in Spain with the mission “to meet the needs of our customers by offering customised products for all skin types, formulated to enhance quality of life.

Sesderma C-Vit

The products

I was sent the Moisturizing facial cream for dry skin and the Liposomal Serum, which can be used in all skin types. Both products have stabilized vitamin C and Ginkgo biloba extract. The moisturizer is 50 ml and the Serum 30 ml.

Although many people say I look younger than I actually am and my skin looks youthful, the truth is that at the age of 29 I should already be using some kind of anti aging prevention. Which is why I was excited to the see the moisturizer prevents and treats cutaneous photo-aging, especially in dry skin. The Serum also provides an “intensive shock treatment of cutaneous photo-aging in all skin types, including skins with acne and rosacea“, according to their website

I must confess, I was a bit nervous to try it out, as I always am with new skin care products.

How they work and feel on the skin

The moisturizer has a gel-like consistency, which I prefer! It also has a very strong citrus smell, but goes away when on the skin. However, it may be a bit strong if you don’t like it, just try not to smell it directly and you should be ok. It dries pretty quickly, leaving a silky touch to the skin, moisturizing it without leaving the skn greasy.

The serum also has the same citrus smell, so that you’re warned. It is more liquid in consistency, but still has a gel feeling to it. It is also extremely cooling, which I love in the Summertime! I always use it before the moisturizer, let it sink into the skin and then apply the moisturizer. One thing I have noticed is that my skin appears less red and my acne (which I have developed in the last few months) has cleared out a bit.

Finishing thoughts

I must say I really did end up liking both products! While I do think they work best together, some days I only use the serum once. Sure, the smell is a bit too strong in my opinion, but since it fades very quickly, I just try to not smell it directly.

You can find the two products separately on the Sesderma website, or you can get them both in a set for 33.90€ in Notino.
