Review: I found a dupe for the Porefessional?

[:en]

Everyone that’s into makeup knows what the Porefessional is – the famous primer from Benefit, which is said to be one of the best makeup primers out there. As I already told you in this post, although it is good, I don’t think it’s anything that justifies the price.

Naturally, when I heard there was a dupe for more than half the prize, I knew I wanted to try it out. It took me a long time to track it down in Austria, but I finally did at the Müller drugstore closest to my place. It costs 10€ and is from Maybelline.

Baby lips from Maybelline are some of the most famous lip balms from the drugstore. The primer I found is called Baby Skin – Pore Minimizer. Like I said, it costs 10€ and is supposed to be a dupe for the porefessional.

Baby Skin Maybelline

The packaging is super sweet and girly, made out of plastic, with mint and green colors. Cute, sweet, girly. And functional, it’s just a squeeze tube with a cap. I personally really like it.

Ther products itself as the same consistency as the one from Benefit and no smell (that I can tell). You apply it the same exact way and I honestly feel no difference at all to the Porefessional. I used it a couple of times before my makeup and I have to say it did make it last a bit longer. However, I think that has to do with the fact that it gives my skin a layer moisture that my extremely dry skin normally does not have.

Is this a dupe for the Porefessional from Benefit? Absolutely! Is it a miraculous product? Nop…I think it’s nice to use when you want your makeup to look extra nice, but it doesn’t really make my pores look smaller (just like the porefessional doesn’t) nor does it make my makeup last for 10h on my face. But for 10€, I think if you like the Porefessional, definitely get this one and save the extra 12 or 13€!

What do you think? Have you tried this?

Oh wie toll! Der von Benefit ist mir ja wirklich zu teuer! Aber diesem werde ich mal unter die Lupe nehmen! Danke für den Tipp!
