I like to have cookies or biscuits at home, they’re easy to make and I know what goes in them. Today I’m sharing a very easy recipe for butter cookies.
- 250 g flour
- 100 g sugar + some extra for decoration
- 100 g butter in pieces
- 1 egg
- 1 TL baking powder
Making these butter cookies couldn’t be easier – just mix everything together and knead until the dough is done. Then use a spoon to take small balls, which you then roll into the extra sugar and put in the baking tray. Take a fork and press it onto the cookie (so it gets the texture you can see in the pictures). If you want to, you can just press them down with a glass or even with your hands.
Bake the cookies in the oven at 180º for about 20 minutes – until they’re golden brown. Take them from the oven and let them cool. Store them in a cookie box and enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee.
The butter cookies can be personalised with cinnamon, vanilla, lemon extract or rum. Easy to make and yummy to eat!
Have you ever made this type of butter cookies? How do you prefer them?
