A few weeks ago we visited Markus’ mother. She works in an Alm in a place called Spital am Phyrn and we therefore decided to go on a hike before we met her.
2 million years in 2 hours
We walked a total of 6km and took a bit less than 2 hours to do so. The view is breathtaking and pure nature!
The hiking way we did is called “2 million years in 2 hours” and stated at the Bergstation Wurzeralm Standseilbahn. It was such a beautiful day, not too warm, nor too cold – because we were up in the mountains, down below it was 30°C!
Below you can see the beautiful photograps we took that day:
The picture above was taken right in the beginning! I used the walking sticks to help assist my leg and my back and I must say it really helped!
I absolutely say everyone should check this hiking trail out! You don’t need to be in top-notch condition at all. We did not even take a break! Of course, you should be careful with the cows, they’re animals that live there and are not really used to people, so please don’t try touching and petting them.
PS: I was also extremely proud to be able to make this hike without having to stop. I was 6 weeks pregnant at the time and super tired!
