Curvy is just a fancy word for obese!

Hey hey everyone!

I’m starting to get a tad bit tired of people thinking that being obese and being curvy is the same thing.

Since I feel that sometimes it helps to have the visual in front of me, let’s see the difference, shall we?
The picture above depicts a gorgeous curvy woman. Yes, she has a bit of what most people call “fat” and what I like to call “some meat on my bones”. She is not skinny, but she does not look fat to me either.

The picture below depicts two obese or what most people call very fat women. Now, even though there is a very noticeable difference between the two, I think that people don’t see the real important difference between these women.

Even though we have to take into account the height and weight of a person in order to see if said person is “healthy” or not, I think it’s fairly easy to see that the women in the second picture probably have more health troubles than the one in the first picture. (I’m not saying all obese people are sick, I’m just going from what I’ve heard most doctors and experts say! I know there are exceptions)

The thing is, if a bigger (curvier, obese or whatever you might want to call) person can do everything a smaller person can, then I don’t see the issue. Usually curvy women can do the same or more than skinny women. When you stop being able to do the things that are supposed to be natural to you, then you have a problem. And typically it’s the obese people that have those troubles.

A curvy person can walk, run, carry bags/books/whatever they need as much as a skinny person. But an obese person more often than not struggles with those simple tasks, in addition to not being able sometimes to dress themselves of bade themselves without help or assistance of others. It’s not for nothing that obesity is considered a disease, because it is a disease!

So stop making fun of the obese people you see struggling to walk down the street because you’re probably hurting they’re feelings!!! Many obese people hide themselves at home, trying to never come out because they’re ashamed of being so big and not being able to do the things other “normal” people do!! And usually it tends to get worse, because when you’re stuck at home you tend to let go and not care about yourself anymore, which sometimes leads to depression. People tend to forget that obese people also have a heart, also have feelings.

You might call a curvy person fat. Or an obese person fat. But you know what? We’re all fat! We all have fat in our bodies and we need it to survive! Some have more and some have less and to some it starts becoming a health problem, but it’s a common thing on all human beings.

Stop calling curvy women obese, because they’re different things. Don’t confuse a curvier body shape with a disease. Instead, try being helpful.

I agree, curvy is not the same as obese and people should stop trying to sugarcoat things
