Cozy Sunday: Baking time!

Hey hey everyone!!

How are you all doing? For cozy Sunday today I thought about showing you guys what I’m going to bake for Christmas…at least some of the things xD

Every Christmas I like to bake something special, mostly because me and my Dad don’t like any of the Portuguese traditional foods and sweets of this season…or any season for that matter xD So I always bake something we both also like, that way we also can have some fun trying a bit of everything =D
Apple Strudel is a traditional staple in our family! My Dad was born in Vienna and lived between there and Germany for a big part of his life and of course, Apple Strudel just had to be a part of our Christmas tradition…and Easter..and New Years..and whenever we feel like it haha
I got a really cool cupcake recipe and I have been waiting to try it out until now, because I wanted to do them for a special occasion! I even have the pink paper and everything!

This is one of the few traditional Portuguese sweets/cakes of the season that I actually like…they’re so expensive and I just don’t get why, because they’re just so easy to do!!! Ok, they take a bit of work, but I think it’s totally worth it, plus I save about 5€ if I make it myself!! But, instead of chocolate inside, I make a vanilla filling, that way it’s not to chocolatery…(is that a word? Well…now it is xD) and I add some rum to the chocolate!

What are you guys doing for Christmas? Are you going to bake something special?
